I have been profiling the CPU usage when doing long multi-channel recordings (+1 hour), and as a result I have been able to optimize the UI drawing of waveforms. You should see a considerable speed improvement (especially when recording audio), if you have a lot of waveforms on the screen simultaneously.

I have a few more areas I’m going to optimize, and then hopefully release 2.19 next week.

This is tedious work. Once 2.19 and my planned changes for 2.20 is done, I’ll need to do some fun UI stuff to recharge my batteries. 🙂
