Some very good questions you have there. That’s kind of why I posted what I did. I don’t know the answers to either, but It almost always is some kind of strange incompatability regarding the soundcard and whatever else is going on. Also, the audio processing often figures into this. This area is sometimes the weak link on computers. What’s worse, sometimes it’s all integrated in the circuit so there’s no trying other soundcards and so on. The best way I’ve solved these sorts of problems is by process of elimination, by finding out what’s NOT causing your troubles, one item at a time. If I think of what else it might be, I’ll repost.
