This release is accompanied by ‘zPEQ’ which is a parametric EQ plugin. The plugin is available as a separate zip file download. Future releases will include the plugin in the Podium installer.
zPEQ supports VST 2.4. This includes support for double-precision processing which is used when the Podium mixer engine is running at 64-bit.
The zPEQ editor is implemented in Podium and not in the plugin. The plugin can be used in other hosts but will then use that hosts generic plugin editor interface.
The zPEQ editor can be shown both in the track inspector and as a separate resizable window. The editor changes its layout to fit the available space. Popup help will appear for the elements in the editor.
The zPEQ plugin implements a Zynewave vendor specific extension to the VST protocol that allows Podium to reduce the plugin CPU usage when the plugin is processing silent input.
