Thanks for that HUGE update.. I am very pleased with it!!
But:
The setup file now stores the arrangement and sound editor profiles that were last selected in each browser window. This makes it easier to use a dual browser setup where e.g. one browser shows a timeline profile and the other a mixer profile.
That seems not to work here. π Is there an option to activate this? The “sync browser” option is great though!!

Just checked again, and it works as intended here. There is no option. You just select the desired arrangement profile once you have opened an arrangement editor. This profile will then be used by default every time you enter an arrangement editor in that window, until you select another profile.
Sorry to say that, but it is just not the case here. It works as before. The additional browser window (here it shows a mixer) syncs with the selected arrangement, which is great, but it always opens the first profile and not the one that was last selected. I tried it 10 times now.
Try opening your Podium.ini file in a text editor, and see if it contains the string “ArrangementProfileNo”. There should be one for each browser window, provided that you have switched profiles at least once in each window.
I can find the string 3 times.. “ArrangementProfileNo=0”
Please email me your Podium.ini file.
done
Got it. Your “Mixer” profile is configured as an “All types” editor. Set it to “Arrangement” and it should work.
It works.. π How could I have known that? π³ Thanks for your fast reply.
This update is awesome.. I like the icons very much. Now Podium feels much more user friendly. This will help attracting some new customers..
EDIT: by the way, it is great to be able to maximize the main window on my second screen!!
Added ‘Search in File Folder…’ to the context menu of broken sound and plugin objects on the project start page. This can be used to relink sound objects to the sound files in case you have moved or renamed the file folder, or to relink plugins that have been reinstalled in a different file folder.
A long awaited feature, very good !
Added ‘Use name of object assigned to track’ option to the track properties dialog. When this option is enabled the name of any mapping or parameter object assigned to the track is automatically used wherever the track name is displayed in the arrangement editor.
Good idea.
Could it be also a global option for all the tracks ?

Indeed… π
A little bug : if a secondary monitor is defined to be at the LEFT of the main monitor, the menus of the windows which are in the secondary monitor are shown at the left edge of the first monitor.
And a request while you are working on the GUI : a maximise / restore buttons together with the close button of other windows, le the sound editor or a sencond browser would be VERY useful.
Thanks.

The option is enabled by default when you create tracks by dragging objects and when you double-click parameter objects to create automation tracks.
thanks for the update, Frits
Thanks Frits!

I have now implemented maximizing browser windows so they appear in full-screen mode like the main window. This is of course only useful if you are using a dual monitor setup.
