Frits, i am able to load all of my waves and other plugs. i could also see and use most plugs ( i did not get to about 30 yet). however, i cannot get the zynewave plugs to show up automatically. if i go to “import plug” i can load the zynewave one at a time but they do not go into the zynewave folder.
Frits, when i close all of the headings in device, like audio outputs and zynewave effects (from – to +), why do those two default back to open (-) after i select a device? only those two devices, audio out and zynewave fx.
thanks
Did you use the “create new project” page?
Make sure the “scan and import mono/stereo plugins” check button is selected. Otherwise the Zynewave plugins will not be imported. For the 1.97 release I’m going to extend zPEQ and zPitch so that they are surround capable, which means they will also be imported if you only select the import surround check button.

I don’t understand this. Can you explain in more details, please.
o.k. i used scan and import mono/stereo but the zynewave are still outside the zynewave folder and do not load automatically like before.
if i have the inspector open and i have selected devices i have the following behaviour.
i have all device folders closed (+). I ad an fx to a track and then remove it. i do not close the inspector i simply ad an fx to a track and immediately remove it from the track. when i choose delete fx from track the device menu in the inspector changes view to show audio outputs and zynewave fx folders as open (-).
i noticed this becasue i was adding fx and immediately removing them from tracks to make sure i could view them in 1.97. so it seems odd that the inspector device menu would keep defaulting to have the audio and zynewave folders open even though i just closed them.
i hope that is more clear?

Ahh, yes. That’s because Podium searches for the Zynewave plugins in a subfolder of the folder where the Podium executable is run. If you move the Podium197_beta1.exe to the “C:Program FilesZynewavePodium” and run it from there, then the Zynewave plugins should import automatically.

The inspector device panel will default to show the nearest mapping for the current track. When you remove an effect from the track, then it will locate the nearest mapping on a parent track (shown ghosted in the device panel header).

that makes sense for the zynewave plugs.
on the device panel, why do two folders open? if it is looking for the nearest mapping why should either folder open? sure would be nice to default to my selection of closed…..
nice job on the waves plugs…….this is very helpful!
why do two folders open?
When you move focus between tracks with plugins assigned, Podium will expand the folders containing these plugins. If the Zynewave folder unfolds by itself, it must be because you have a track with a Zynewave plugin assigned.

How many channels would you need max? I was planning to set the maximum to 8 (7.1), but you probably need more 🙂

Oh yes, please, do not limit it !
The same 32 channels max as the bus will be perfect.
It is one of the most important features of Podium not to be limited to 12 channels like Nuendo, DigitalPerformer or others.
The ideal would be a selectable number of channels in the plugins mapping ?
