    Hi Frits,

I know that it is on your list, but I will soon have to bounce my project, and it will not be possible without a support for 2 Go + audio wave files.

I must have separate mono files and can use Bidule to transform the 16 channels interleave file made by Podium into 16 separate files (24 bits with dithering), but 37 minutes X 16 channels X 48 kHz X 32 bits = 6.35 Go…

Have you an idea of the possibility of this support ?

Or perhaps, the direct export in separate mono files before ?

    Thanks,

Implementing support for wave files larger than 2 GB will only go up to 4 GB. If you need more than that, then it will have to be saved in an alternative wave file format, which we have discussed some time ago. I’ll see if I can implement the ‘export as mono files’ command.

@acousmod: I thought “2 Go +” was a new form of audio file that I had never heard of 😉

It didn’t occur to me that you meant GigaBytes, and not something else, because you said “Go” and not “GB” 😉

I thought I had missed some new technology! (like Ogg vorbis format which everyone seems to be talking about these days) 😆

Sorry for the “Go”, my internal brain units converter is not very reliable 😉
I promise that I will pay more attention to this in the future !
