markucParticipantHi, I am new here. Podium is very, very interesting DAW, I don´t know other similar – very user friendly and powerfull, super wavedraw editor … Let me put a 3 question :
Is it possible “undock” the mix window ? This is very usefull for 2-monitors ..
Is it possible “scrubbing” over take ?
Do You think about Mac OSX version ?
Thank You very much for Your answers and sorry my English … 😀

ZynewaveKeymasterHi,

Yes. Use the “New project window” command from the Window menu. Place this window on your second monitor. Each project window will remember which editor profile you select, so if you select the “Mixer” profile in the second window, the mixer will appear each time you enter an arrangement. Note that you should leave the “link project windows” option enabled (in the Window menu).
Is it possible “scrubbing” over take ?
No. I’ll probably work on this at some point, but I have no estimate on when.
Do You think about Mac OSX version ?
Perhaps some time in the future, years from now.

ZynewaveKeymasterMake sure you are using ASIO drivers, to get the best performance. If you don’t have an ASIO driver for your soundcard, try the http://www.asio4all.com driver.
If you are getting clicks (CPU spikes) during playback, then try to increase the buffer size in the ASIO driver control panel.

markucParticipantI have MOTU 828 soundcard, MOTU ASIO driver, buffer size is 512 samples. In same configuration and same two guitar tracks shows Cockos Reaper 35 percent of CPU power … 🙁

ZynewaveKeymasterIs the Podium CPU indicator constantly showing 100%, or is it only spiking occasionally?
If it is constantly 100%, does the Windows Task Manager also show CPU usage close to 100%?
Try bypassing one effect at a time to find which plugin is causing the heavy CPU usage. Bypass is the X button next to the effect selector. If you find the plugin that causes the CPU overload, then try to change the preset in the plugin. Sometimes CPU overload can be caused by denormal issues, which can be dependent on how parameters are set.
