Hello Frits.
Can you please add a feature in Podium – doubleclick on a track in mixer places this track in a center of visible part of tracks area?
Nice addition, I think.
If anything, double-clicking a track strip should open the track properties dialog. I think that using double-clicking to center zoom would be inconsistent with double-clicking behaviour elsewhere in Podium. But maybe there should be some sort of link between the mixer and the tracks region, where scrolling in one region will keep the track in focus in the other region.
what about a drop down menu item on the headers in the mixer – “Centre track in arrangement editor” for example
right click to access drop down menu

Yes, double-click on a track opens “properties” dialog, but only in a track inspector area, not in mixer. If you think that it would be inconsistent, I agree with super_crunchy. Context menu item (plus keyboard shortcut like ‘some key’+doubleclick) would be nice.
Let me add here two other opinions regarding workflow (before I forget it).
Adding new track. We can add new tracks using pencil tool (draw it in the empty part of track inspector area) or using context menu (rightclick + menu item). Why there’s no ability to create new track by doubleclicking with rearrange tool on the empty part of track inspector area, like in other hosts? It’s very useful. Futhermore, if you’ll add an ability to hold mouse on a second click and change a hierarchy of the new channel on the fly, by dragging a shadow of it (like using pencil tool) it will be absolutely great. This way we don’t need to bother, what tool exactly we need to use to add a new channel.
BTW, there’s a following menu items in the “edit” menu of the tracks area: select all events, cut track, copy track, delete track. Maybe it would be good for beginners to add an “add new track” menu item there.
The second thing that bothers me time after time, is that when I split items with scalpel tool, both parts are selected after splitting. Much better to have only right part selected, like in cubase-family programs, because 99% that you need to move only right phantom event, not left.
Thanks for the suggestions Max. I’ll try to put some of them into the next release.
Thank you, Frits. Podium is the best sequencer with the best support. Absolutely.

I have pointed that some time ago… But there is no need to have any part selected, we can move the left or right without having it selected before.
Another thing that often causes me some trouble is that when I drag a file from the list into the arrangement and move it, all previous clips which were selected remain selected and are moved together.
I think that a better behaviour will be that previously selected events are automatically deselected when a new file is inserted, like when I draw a new event.

Will be implemented in release 1.45
Nice 😉
