bladerunnerParticipanthi everyone,
i have put together a little demo using the nucleum synth along with the zynewave reverb and eq plugs. i did it a while back and forgot about it but after reading this thread over at kvr…
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=241401&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
…i thought one or two people might find it handy just to get them going if they want to try podium out.
first download the nucleum synth here
http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1569
then download my bank here
http://www.zynewave.com/wiki/doku.php?id=nucleum:presets:index
then download the .pod file here
http://www.filedropper.com/bladerunnerspodiumdemo
hope you like it!
if you have any problems downloading the file post here and i will sort it out π

bladerunnerParticipant…bit audacious of me to call this a podium demo! i will just call it an all nucleum track instead π

bladerunnerParticipanthi H_man,
remember to re download my bank as i have added a few presets (some of which i have used in the tune). although, i wonder if the presets get saved with the .pod file? anyhow, theres a couple of new sounds in there now…

They do. The entire bank is saved on each track you have a Nucleum instance.
Btw. Do I have your permission to include your presets in the default bank the next time I make a Nucleum release?

bladerunnerParticipantanyone, please feel free to remix, add to, improve or change the track in any way. it would be great to shape it into something worthy of bundling with podium as a ‘demo’ π the only thing to bear in mind is to keep the amount of nucleum instances on the low side to keep cpu consumption down.

wow! yes, absolutely. it would be an honour! it’s also great to hear there will be another nucleum release. i keep coming back to this synth – it is very simply laid out, easy to program and has a very pleasing analogue sound. the inclusion of the fm section is what sets it apart. i think i used it with at least half of the sounds

H-manParticipantYeh …nice π
Man you got an ear for sweet sounding tunes (and sounds).
Nice work on managing the CPU count as well., and thx for the new patches!

bladerunnerParticipantmany thanks for the kind words everyone π

thcilnnahojParticipantCool track you got there, Bladerunner! I especially like the industrial-like drums.
You gave me the idea to also make a short little example-thingy just with Nucleum.
It’s really an incredibly powerful synth… πNow, I’m not really your full-on midi synths guy, but it was really fun trying out the new piano roll. Ahh, everything’s a breeze. 8)
So here you go: .pod project file, and an mp3
It turned out pretty cheesy but I hope someone’s gonna enjoy it nonetheless – it’s of course free to re-work, sample, … as long as it’s all good fun. π

Well …I’m pretty-well gobsmaked!
Busy, light, nice wandering base line, and, that bit (22 seconds in) where the lead first ‘tears’ had be grinning from ear to ear. π
I haven’t loaded the .pod file but it’s all Nucleum right, no FX?

bladerunnerParticipanthi thcilnnahoj,
excellent work! i like it alot. reminds me of some of bochum welts stuff (an artist on aphex twins rephlex label). good programming with your kick drum – i couldn’t manage to make one that sounds as ‘big’. its amazing what you can do with just one synth
cheers for the kind words btw π
February 13, 2009 at 06:54 #14336
thcilnnahojParticipantYeah, the only effects are Nucleum’s internal ones and two zPEQs.
And as of now, it seems that my last gripe with this synth’s been fixed too: the startup time! π
Down from a whopping 25 secs to 5-6 in my example project with 10 ‘Nuclei’.
