What you have referred to is a midi output.
Go to Setup-MIDI/Audio Interfaces, and there are 3 tabs. The first, MIDI, make sure that Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth is turned OFF. From what I’ve seen, very few people need to use it, and it has caused people to be unable to playback.
Then, go to the Audio tab, and preferably select ASIO Drivers. Then you should be able to select your sound card from there. If it isn’t already selected, of course. If it is, then you won’t have to change anything,
If you do change your audio interface, you may have to reset the audio devices. But, one step at a time. Please try this and let us know how it goes. Also, if it doesn’t work, could you please list all the ASIO drivers you have on your system, from the drop down box in the setup section?
