michi_makParticipantit seems a little bit too quiet over here, doesn’t it?
all of my issues have been commented on but there are absolutely no hints on what to expect in the future ( given there is still a future to Podium ) be it fixes or new features …November 5, 2011 at 20:17 #21109
ZynewaveKeymasterI’m trying to wrap up a 3.1 release, which will feature support for using multiple control surfaces simultaneously, including those MCU emulating devices that don’t support automatic detection.
The automatic detection option on the MIDI input page has been removed, and replaced with a new “Control Surfaces” page in the interfaces dialog.
I’m hoping to have a beta ready soon.

thcilnnahojParticipant3.1!? Oooh, you’re doing that on purpose – cheating us out of 303 like that! š
In any case, I hope you’re doing alright!

Ooh, missed opportunity. Well, I’ll have to wait until version 6.0.6 to release that built-in drum machine. š

The new features will be available in Podium 3.1.0. It will eventually be available in Podium Free 3.1.0 as well, but the Podium Free releases are some months behind the full version.

For 3.1.1, I’m currently converting Podium to be a Unicode app. This will not affect English users, but other language users should then be able to enter e.g. object names and filenames using any character set. This is a step towards future support of full UI internationalization of the Podium UI.

Wow! I’m really surprised, but pleasantly so. I think all programs need to be unicode-compliant these days, in order to remain relevant on the internet, which is an international stage with an international audience.
