ZynewaveKeymasterCompetition topic:
Guess how many times Podium Free 2.37 was downloaded.
Podium Free 2.40 was released earlier today. The previous Podium Free 2.37 download was available a little less than 4 months.
How to participate:
Post a reply to this topic and write your guess.

The prize is a free Podium license for the full version, including a 1-year upgrade period. If the winner is already a license owner, the price will be an additional 1-year upgrade period.

4micaParticipantHmm, I could go the Price is Right route and say 1, just to beat the overbidders, but that would be an insult…
So, maybe 2500?April 11, 2011 at 10:05 #20592
PulseParticipantWell, the number I will put forth is by no means representing an underestimation, but rather considering the ignorance of the masses, who find comfort by joining the big money-making (players) factories out there, and the alleged “industry”, just to reinvent their own personal wheels, resulting in the dismissal of Podium.
So shortly put, not even close to as half as it deserves, I will suggest…— 1200 —

DarkerDepthsParticipantI tried initially to do something clever with the amount of people that signed up for the boards during the last free version. However this quickly became me over-analyzing from the people who didn’t sign up that downloaded it as well as the others who are active and still use the free version.
So after all that, I gave up and decided to just guess 900.

SmurfParticipantI just found Podium Free, and have been playing with it for a few hours…..NICE! 😀
Then I came to the forums & seen this contest and thought “Why Not?” 😆
I will say 793 times….
Now I am off to do some reading! 8)

chaseParticipantCool Competion Fritz
and a real tuff one to answer for sure.
Like one of those How many M&M’s are in the jar kinda contests.
Hmmm, can i look at the jar ..?
and how big is the jar h/w/d – in millimeters?
hmmmm..?
A stab in the dark here
I’ll say it was downloaded around
303,049 times over 4 months…

adimatisParticipantdefinitely, one more after I did it… 🙂
I’ll go for 500.

kxuserParticipantHi. I know it’s not April but I hope I can still take part in the competition as results have not been published yet and the month finished only 2 days ago. I think the software was downloaded about 8000 times. Thanks for the software.

ZynewaveKeymasterThe competition is now closed.
The correct answer is: 13463 times.
The previous Podium Free 2.35 was downloaded 7670 times. I believe these figures represent true downloads, and not robot downloads, since the Podium Demo download available on the same page is only downloaded a few hundred times.
4mica came closest (within April) with his guess of 2500. He receives a 12 months free upgrade period. kxuser entered the competition two days too late, but since he came closest with his guess of 8000, he gets a consolation price of a free license with 6 months free upgrade period.
Congratulations to the winners.
All the other guesses were quite low, which I guess are based on the relatively few posters that frequent this forum. Apparently there are quite a few Podium Free users out there. Let’s hope some of them register on the forum and say hi.
