Deep-SkylineParticipantHey 🙂
First I really like to THANK YOU GUYS that u are offering THE ONLY free sequencer which actually has ALL important features and is ready for professional use.
But now I have a question:
I am using Podium Free 2.40 at the moment.
I have got a simple midi-keyboard (Miditech Midistart 3).
I have got one modulation wheel on this keyboard and would be really happy to be able to assign any parameter (like volume fader) to this wheel. Is that possible?
If yes what exactly I have to do? Unfortunately I could not find my answer in the forum.August 9, 2012 at 22:33 #22101

okay thanks
but this does also mean that I cant even assign the volume fader of a track to my modulation wheel?
Because in the post the admin only says that it does not work with plugin parameters. I guess the volume fader of a track is NOT a plugin parameter..

michi_makParticipantthere’s a rather cheap workaround to both anwers : buy yourself a KorgNanoKontrol2 and use it as external control surface – its faders can also control vsti parameters!

Deep-SkylineParticipantwow its a really nice & cheap piece of kit.
It looks like its almost tailored for zynewave podium 😀Will I also be able to assign the knobs of the nanokontrol2 to parameters or ONLY the faders?
And will I be able to use the play, pause, rewind, single, mute & record, etc… buttons? If yes then the korg nanokontrol2 would be perfect for me as a control surface!!
EDIT: I need to buy the full version of Podium to do that, right? Otherwise I would have to wait a looooooong time until the version gets released 4 free

you can only use faders to control parameters ( in fact it’s a nice side effect of the way Podium handles external control surfaces )
play, pause and rewind work as expected…
don’t know about Podium Free tbhAugust 11, 2012 at 06:53 #22109
