First of all: I am TOTALLY impressed with this excellent piece of software. I’ve been “demoing” the CM version for a couple of days now, but there is one simple thing that’s basiscally stopping me from using Podium as my main DAW, and it concerns audio editing.

By searching this forum, I’ve understood that there is no Fade in/out edit option in the wave editor.
In some sequencers there is a work-around in that you can “connect” an external audio editor like Goldwave or Audacity. Does anyone know if its possible to do any similar work-around with Podium?

Grateful for any answer / suggestion.

Why don’t you use the very useful and flexible fade function in the arrangement window? It is non destructive and by bouncing to a bounce track, you can “render” your fade into an audio file if you want.

Aha, so I’d have to render the audio file/track in order for it not to affect the whole track? An interesting solution in any case! I’ll check it out when I get back home from work 🙂

A thousand thanks / Viel Dank

    Hi,

Currently you cannot set up an external audio editor in Podium. The method Max describes is the way to go. It requires a little work to set up the two tracks, but as a result you can get a very flexible fade curve using the event fade-in/out properties and level automation.
