If you are redesigning the tracks behavior, I remind you of the collapsing problem with child audio tracks.
Since it is no more possible to automate the plugins that are inserted on the same track as the audio events, or even its volume/pan, the audio track is always BELOW the corresponding automation tracks (unlike in all other DAWS).
So it is impossible to collapse the automation tracks while keeping the audio track visible !
What idea have you to prevent this ?
Perhaps a “pin” button which forces the track to stay visible would be a workaround ?
