    hi

I believe FLS has something like this.

If you create a related group of tracks under a single “parent” track

    e.g. sw1000 channels 1 to 16

Last night I manually selected a colour for the parent and also for each “child” track e.g. by reducing the colour intensity for each succesive track.

Could this be done automatically ?

I guess it’s just an aesthetic touch but it kind of looks nice 🙂

Are you talking about the color of the track headers in the tracks and mixer regions?

There are some settings in the colors setup dialog that defines luminance offsets for different types of sequence events placed on the tracks.

Yes, I mean the track headers (whose colurs are reflected in corresponding mixer track).

So what I’m thinking of is you create, say 10 subtracks under a parent track.

If you then colour the parent track, the underlying 10 tracks are automatically graduated for colour luminescence / intensity, say from top to bottom or visa versa ?

I’m sure FLS can do this and it looks nice and helps differentiate between a large number of subtracks.

    Does this sound ridiculous ?

Please post a screenshot, or email me a project file with the track coloring effect you want to achieve.
