Topic: Automating VSTs in fx tracks

    I can’t seem to record VST param automation for plugins inserted in an fx track. I was hoping since the plugin is in the same track as the instrument it would record movements in both gui’s but that does not seem to be the case.

    Then I tried manually selecting a param and arming the automation track that Podium created but it still didn’t record (though annoyingly it did that resetting of the param to zero as soon as I hit record screwing up my settings). What’s the trick?

    You must record enable each individual effect track that you want to automate. Ctrl+click the effect in the track lane header or use the R button in the track inspector.

    OK got it now

    except that it sets the param to zero as soon as I stop moving it even while I’m playing!! I hope this will be addressed soon.

    I think here we need a clearer signal too – shortcuts like ctrl click are fine if you are the sort of person that remembers such invisible things but I need visual cues like a button or rightclick command to arm automation
