I’m not sure if this is possible in Podium (or any DAW for that matter), but is it possible to take two presets and automatically automate the parameters to get from one preset two the next over a specified period (maybe a few bars)?

I know you can do it all manually, but that can be a heck of a lot of work.

This is not possible in Podium. Normally ‘morphing’ between two presets is a feature that is built into plugins. Doing the automation of all parameters from the host is not efficient and automated parameters will not morph as smoothly as if the plugin did its own internal morphing.

And if you don’t need smooth “morphing”, you can automate the presets changing using midi program change command, if your VSTi supports MIDI commands correctly.

You can do it in Audiomulch with its “Metasurface” : you interpolate in real time between several snapshots of the parameters of one or several plugins. It’s incredibly easy and powerful !
The drawback as says Frits is that it can use a lot of CPU with some plugins…

An other similar way that can work inside hosts that support MIDI connections between plugins (like Cubase) is to use a MIDI controller plugin. I have some that can do the job, but it is rather long to configure because you must set each contoller number to each parameter.
But I know that some people use them in Bidule.

Thanks for the responses, when I have some time I will give your ideas a try.
