how do i automate a param that isn’t shown in the device param list in the inspector. for instance i wanna automate the group tune button in battery 2 ant the only available params are pitch bend and…hmm somth else . fortgot what.

in ableton live there was the same problem but there was a workaround. if u right click on any button in battery a dialog box appears and u set whatever param u wan to automate. by doing this the respective param would show up in the list. i’ve tried this in podium but didn’t work. 😥

Is there not a ‘vst parameters’ heading? I don’t have Battery, but most plugins present you with a list of ‘vst parameters’ and ‘midi parameters’.
‘Pitchbend’ and ‘Modulation’ would be under the ‘midi’ heading.

Edit: Make sure you have the track-header with Battery on selected/highlighted.

Works fine here. Ensure you have a Battery 2 mapped track selected, expand the Param header and select Device. There should be a VST Parameters node in the tree containing all the automatable VST parameters. The first one is already set to Inst Volume, the rest are free to map as you want.

Right click on a control in the Battery 2 GUI to list all the automation mappings. Choose an unmapped id and press Set to link the parameter to this control.

The parameter can now be automated using the matching VST in the Podium browser. ID 1, for example, corresponds to VST Parameter #001. These can be renamed in the properties dialog for each node, which is recommended if you’re using a lot of automation mappings.
