Hi,
I use Podium 3.1.0 64 bits. Kontakt 5.02 is not usable for me because of two problems :
1) Kontakt instance and another plug-in: it works but if I reload the project it crashes : No sound upload in Kontakt. Sometimes the arrangement is permanently lost and can not be opened without Podium crashes.
2) Resolved: process priority
See below
Load time sounds in Kontakt is very long. For example, to load a sound from 2.2 GB it lasts 4’15 whereas with the standalone version that lasts 45 sec. Note that I reboot the computer between each manipulation. This makes it unusable Podium seriously.
3) and another problem (see :http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2882)
Other people have encountered these problems?
I have Kontakt 4, and have experienced various problems. I was planning to revise my plugin loading system, as I mentioned in the other topic you linked to, but I ended up doing the velocity editing improvement instead. I’ll examine the Kontakt problem after the 3.2.0 release.
Ok Thank you Frits for your quick response. A priori there is a Kontakt singular memory allocation.
As soon as you advance on the problem, I would test all versions, day and night π because it is an issue very important to me that many banks Kontakt and i can’t use Podium (I’ve already lost two arrangements.).
To advance the troubleshooting …
With a multiple instance Kontakt only, it works.
If I add a plugin, it works. If I close and reopen Podium, it crashes with this message:
ADD : Resolved (see below)
I tried several plugins (multitimbral or not): With some plugins it works. Most do not work with Kontakt which Nucleum.
ADD : Resolved (see below)
The most urgent problem to me is the loading times sounds very long in Kontakt
Resolved: process priority
See below
I feel a bit lonely on this post … π
That’s it, I just found why the loading of sounds was very long.
Processus priority was below normal (Podium was booted from a task).
Now, it’s ok ! π π π
There remains the other two problems mentioned above
By cons, Frits, is it normal that I can not change the process priority Podium? (normal)
Note that I am in administrator mode
Maybe if I wait a little longer, you’ll find ways to fix the other issues as well? π

Podium sets the process priority to “above normal” when the engine is running, so maybe that is why you cannot change the priority manually.
Why is it I hear more problems, issues and complaints about Kontakt than any other DAW-related piece of software throughout all the sites and forums on the Net? Could it have anything to do with the fact that is is this huge 10 billion gigabyte bloat of libraries and touchy player? I know more former NI customers now than current owner/users. And the rest still using NI junk? Half are using cracked versions. I heard it is partly due to the licensing and registration hassles with their stuff.

Hi Frits,
For me it is not “above normal” but “normal”????
I would push it in “High”. A future possibility?
Regarding other issues Kontakt and management of plugins,
it may not be “a little bit of time” but an eternity. π Do not wait me! π
Seriously, I can not compose as I want and right now I have to juggle the susceptibilities of Kontakt and “no affinities” for other plugins in Podium. A real headache!

Yes, indeed, it appears that it is much easier and less painful to use cracked versions. ](*,) Hush!
:-$ :-#
Partly solved
