I just started to try the demo version. I am using Reason and VSL Instruments, but it seems impossible to record any midi controllers except mod wheel or sustain pedal for both. Both plugins heavily depend on controllers so they practically cannot be used at all.
Why not just enable all controllers like for any midi output track?
Is there any chance this is gonna be fixed in the near future? Or is there some workaround for this?

    Hi,

The reason only a few basic MIDI messages are created by default, is to avoid polluting the parameter list with unused MIDI messages. You can add extra MIDI messages that you require for certain plugins using the “New MIDI Parameter” submenu in the inspector parameter panel.

Okay thanks, found it. However it would be nice to have an option to create an automation channel automatically for each controller I play. If I have to create each controller manually for each track I could easily forget one and lose a recording. Might become frustrating very quickly.

You don’t need to create the MIDI parameters for each track. The MIDI parameters are created for the device, so they will be available on all tracks that use that device. If you save the track as a track template, the MIDI parameters you create are saved in the template as well. You can use that template in future projects, and not have to create the parameters again.

Templates are a good idea, I’m gonna try that. Thanx!
