hello!
I was doing a *long* techno oldskool song, about 7 minutes track. I don’t know if this is possible or not.
I’d like drag and drop a clip into the sequencer as you can see in this picture:
Why?
Because if I want do a phantom copy, by example, of a clip that is very far in the song it’s difficult. And that list could keep the used and unused clips on that track even, then if you delete all the instances of a clip from the sequencer you could recover it from that list (or delete it definitively).
It’s the logical step for a Podium newbie as me, maybe there is a way for do it that I unknow, if this is the case, please forgive me.
Best regards,
Juan π
Whoa!
How’d you get your hands on that Poise skin????? I thought they were just PhotoShop Mock-ups π―
Here you’re my friend:

That very much reminds me of my very first post here.

Not sure to what extend part of that idea might have made it into podium. I’ve been using Podium only slaved to my Atari and do all my midi work there.
Only recently put podium on my Tablet-PC and now I’m eager to see all kinds of improvements for midi mangling in podium.
Big-tah! π
Soooo off topic but this skin was pretty good. I have been trying to finish my Akai-ish one for ages. Nearly done, will post on KVR soon (Next week).
As for your question, you can drag audio clips (among other things) from the ‘list’ menu on to the track lanes. The tracks feature in the inspector dose surprisingly little however once Frits turns his attention to it ….well, you know the rest!

hey Juan yeah your example would be practical and cool i tried the same thing, I found a workaround though using a list window. in your project you will have a device folder and under that your arrangement ,from there you can see a list of clips associated with each track and you can drag and drop those without copy and past. very cool 8)
Thx maximilians! it’s a good trick! However, IMHO, I think this should be posible in a future, it’s more inmediate and easy! I like a lot the idea of a clip pool π
Best regards ^^
