I have managed to set-up Podium for dual screen use. Im very impressed with the functionality sequence profiles provide. Although a bit fiddly, its been well worth it, and Im finished working with these now
I have trimmed the arrange window right down, and can see much more of the arrangement. I only have the one tool bar at the top now. Ive made the one at the bottom disappear, and I’ve moved the transport controls to the top one. Much leaner.
Ive configured the colours to how I like them …although I really wish I could configure the track header, workspace areas (i.e. area that contains sequences) and panel colours as different colours. All three occupy a very large percentage of screen space….a big mass of the same colour like this doesnt help distinguish between the sections.
I now have the arrange page on one screen, and the mixer page on the other screen. You can actually display two mixers on one page (horizontal split), which is what ive done 8) (very handy for lots of channels….one half of channels in each mixer window). My only issue with this, is that selecting a track header in the arrange page…does not select the equivelent header in the mixer windows. Slows me down a bit, as I work with a track on the arrange, then decide i want to adjust a level, gain etc. on that track, and have to go hunt for it on the mixer.
To the people that have purchased Podium…have a go at configuring the window layouts 🙂 well worth it IMO.

Be sure to take a backup of the Podium.ini file 🙂
That sounds like a cool setup. I would love to see some screenshots, with meters blazing etc. Any chance you can put these on the internet? They don’t have to be fullsize, maybe just 50%. You could perhaps start a topic in the general chat forum called ‘Podium Screens’.

In the Project properties dialog you can load a bitmap for the background in the arrangement editor. If you just want a different color, use Microsoft Paint to create a small square and fill it with a color.
Good idea 🙂
I’ll put the screenies up tommorow nght. I have to get some web-hosting sorted, which ive been meaning to do for a while now.
I’ll post here as soon as everythings set up! 🙂
Ok, Ive tried setting up a GeoCities page, and tried link to it, but frankly I have enough of trying to get it work 😈
If anyone can recommend good web-site hosting (which is easily configurable)…please let me know
I am very curious about seeing your configuration – I bet others
are as well 🙂 – if you mail me your screenies I will upload them
and post a link for them here 😉
Fritz offered to host them, which was nice of him. But thanks for the offer anyway 🙂
I should have linked here before:

Hopefully, as Podium becomes more popular this thread will grow 😉
