Say I have a multitimbal vsti like sampletank or kontakt on a track 1. In it, I load 3 instruments, assigned to MIDI ch 1,2,3, each routed to corresponding output channels. How do I make track 2 map to track 1’s MIDI ch 2, and track 3 map to MIDI ch 3? And how do I deal with the audio routing? Ideally, track 1 will get the audio output of kontakt’s out 1, track 2 gets kontakt’s out 2, and so on, so I can mix them separately.

both of the threads don’t make much sense to me. From the looks of it, it seems Podium is not really set up to handle multitimbral vsti very well, which is disappointing since it does other things so well.

I tried to follow along this post http://zynewave.com/topic/multiple-tracks-to-same-plugin/#post-23130

But seriously, this makes no sense to me. And I’m a coder. Is there a step by step instruction anywhere?

Thanks, I missed that video initially. I checked it out and was able to get multitimbral going. The paradigm around multitimbral is quite unique, and as was pointed out, not intuitive at all.

Once you understand it, it’s easy to use and is flexible. Also, when you’ve set up a particular multi-timbral instrument, save the track template for easy recall later.
