I have version 3.2.5 (x64) running on Windows 10 (up-to-date) with a 2-year-old powerful gaming laptop (Asus ROG) and I can barely keep the program open for a couple of minutes before it crashes no matter what I do or what settings I use. Compatibility mode, changing audio output, run as admin… Is there a patch or a fix for this that doesn’t require buying another year’s subscription? I’ve already moved on to a different audio engine because of the problems but it’d be nice to still be able to work with the projects I had started in Podium without constant crashing.

Can you provide more details on what provokes the crash? For example, does it crash if you just start Podium and do nothing for a couple of minutes, or have you powered on an arrangement with plugins loaded?

Anytime I’m working on an arrangement it seems likely to crash. Most often crashes occur after hitting the play button, making any kind of length adjustment to a section of a track, when exporting to a sound file, and slightly more rarely just doing anything within an arrangement.

This can occur even in arrangements that utilize zero plugins and are just audio recordings without effects or any MIDI instrumentation, etc.

I hopped into the program real quick and made a crash occur, then took a snippet of what the debugger says. You can find it here though I doubt it will be very helpful because it seems like I am missing something to debug it properly:

How much RAM do you have in your PC? Could you please try and open a Windows Task Manager when running Podium and check if there is plenty of available memory when Podium crashes?

I have not made any fixes since 3.2.5 that are specific to your crash issues, but if you have the time, you could try the latest 3.2.7 demo and see if this fixes the problem.

I have 23.9gb of RAM. Using just over 6 when it crashes. Normally using around 5. I’ll give the demo a shot if I get a chance, but like I said above I don’t want to have to buy another year’s subscription just to have access to old projects without crashes.

I noticed in your screenshot that you are running the 3.2.5 beta2. Is that the latest version you had access to? I can’t remember if there were crash issues with this particular beta, but generally I wouldn’t recommend using beta versions for production work. If possible, try to revert to the 3.2.4 release version and let me know if you still get crashes.

How do I download the 3.2.4 release version without having to pay for it again? I can’t find a version history or anything to download old versions on the site or through my account.

You can’t download older installers after your upgrade period expires, but I can email the 3.2.4 installer to you if you send me an email with some kind of verification of your identity; either the purchase ID from the purchase receipt email or write the approximate date of your original purchase.
