sam cParticipantFrits, wouldn’t it make sense to have the markers change names (in the top left of my arrangement view above the tempo map) when the cursor passes each marker? right now it looks like it changes marker names when the track window moves past the marker. but that doesn’t seem right because i can be 6 measures into the chorus but it still reads verse 1.
thanks

ZynewaveKeymasterBoth the marker name and the tempo/time signature written to the left of the timeline show the last events placed before the currently shown timeline start. They do not indicate what is active at the current play cursor position.

sam cParticipantwouldn’t it be logical to have them show what is active? seems like a live view serves more purpose?
thanks

Agreed.
@ Frits: Please do consider Sam C’s suggestion. IMO it is spot on. It really should mirror the active marker or the last marker that the cursor has passed on the timeline. However…please do continue with the track level /Group panel improvements for 1.95. 🙂
Perhaps this FR is not even a difficult job (no idea) but if it is a huge development effort that would require getting sidetracked from GP improvements for 1.95 then at least please consider it for some time in future.
It is IMO a very good suggestion for Podium though.
I mention getting sidetracked because (and I am just as guilty as anyone else for causing it) it has happened before. Of course we should continue to make FR’s as before but just don’t see this a request from me to leave what you are currently working on. 🙂

Agree…
Something which will also be useful (for me at least), is a thin vertical line across the tracks at the begining of each marker (optional of course !).
And also, I admit that I don’t use the markers a lot because they are not very useful…
On the contrary, I used them a lot those in Vegas because :
(- there is a thin vertical bar)
– when you click on a marker the play head goes instantly to its position, eventually while continuing to play without any gap
– when you double click between two markers a corresponding time selection is madeSomething like this in Podium will be nice 😉
