Topic: Does Podium support sending VstTimeInfo to plugins?

    In particular, samplePos?

    I was trying to use AnarchyRhythms http://www.anarchysoundsoftware.co.uk/ in Podium, and every time I reload a project it loses Sync. I’ve had this problem in a couple of other hosts, and found out it’s because they don’t support sending samplePos to the plugin

    Some other popular plugins that need samplePos (I’ve been told) are
    – SupaTrigga (http://www.smartelectronix.com) A really fun plugin
    – ColdCutter (forget the link), a cool beat rearranging plugin
    – Dicer (http://www.concretefx.com) A beat slicer
    – FXFreeze (http://www.fxfreeze.com) Note: not needed in Podium anyway really 😉

    Can this be implemented one day? Cheers.
    PS Let me guess, I’m the first one to ask about this? 😉 That’s cool, I understand there are other priorities

    Yes, Podium does support VstTimeInfo. This includes the use of samplePos.

    I just tried the AnarchyRhythms demo, and there seems to be something in its startup procedure that assumes Podium is not supporting this. A dialog pops up within the plugin saying that the host does not support sync. If I subsequently go in and reenable the ‘Host Sync’ check box in the plugin, all seems to be well. I’ll take a note of this and try to debug this for the next next release. My head is currently buried in floating point wave files and 64 bit floating point mixing 🙂

    thanks Frits! I’ll just click “Host Sync” for now until you get round to finding a fix.

    Podium v1.16 is released, which should fix the problem with AnarchyRhythm.
