Just an idea about a direct drag and drop from the Preset and Mapping panels to the Group panel.
If you drag a mapping to an existing track in the group panel you could have a pop up that asks if you want to “replace the existing mapping” or “create a new track for this mapping”.
I think it would be a quicker way to add mappings to tracks., especially now that one can start a project with say “4 Effects Per Audio track” ready to go, once in the arrangement one could just drag and drop from the Mapping or Preset panel straight to the Group panel with those four tracks already there.
Of course this idea could also be extended to the Input panel and the Parameter panel as well.
The Group panel provides a much larger “hit point” for drag and drop actions than the thin vertical strip found on tracks track in an arrangement.
The Group panel is already very useful and unique, this idea might perhaps take that already great idea a bit further.
