    I couldn’t really explain why I thought Podium mixer needed dual pan option, on that thread (at least not clear enough). So, let me put it this way – not everything have to be panned 100% left or 100 % right (a little bleed in the opposite channel makes wonders sometimes). Also, if you have a large number of stereo tracks (especially synths and stuff like that) this can help you separate them so they don’t have to fight for their space in the mix (maybe they should stay hard panned but maybe not all the way, at least not all of them). Maybe, you want to use only one side – just solo it and pan it dead center, or by taste (no need to use an external wave editor to delete the channel you don’t want to use). Maybe, I don’t know. Works for me, anyway. 😉

    P.S. There’re, of coarse, advanced stereo tools that also support dual pan, but this one looks and acts like a (missing) part of a channel strip (and the cpu meter shows zero) 😉
