Hello,
For few month ago i bought the nice symphonic choirs from EastWest. But in fact i have a little problem.
In fact the software has different possibilities to use:
-using Wordbuilder (creating phrases with choirs, here’s coming the problem soon in this message…)
-the Play software to use and choose the different type of Choirs in 2 divided Choirs types: those for only simples “aah, ooh , uuh” etc, and those for multi, that means its specialy to use with Wordbuilder
-using Play as plugin (VST, AudioUNIT etc…)
Here is the problem: Wordbuilder use a virtual way that links manually Wordbuilder to PLAY software with a virtual midi port.
Schema:
Wordbuilder midi port 01: keyboard 01 ->(to) midi port 02 in PLAY software (hard to explain)
I tried this on my IMac, because it was probably more balanced and stable. I read that Mac uses a virtual way that link automatically wordbuilder to Play software. So i did the same schema:
Wordbuilder midi port 01: keyboard 01 ->(to) midi port 02 in PLAY software (hard to explain)
(sender of words -> receiver of words and plays it with the Play software’s voices)
But when i do the same on windows it doesnt work ! i tried some virtual midi that could link Wordbuilder to Play software, but it doesnt work at all on Podium! On the website there’s a tip but only for Cubase, here’s the link:

Is there a possibility to have a way to have something linking 2 “softw-twares” (here: Wordbuilder and PLAY from Eastweast) in Podium, or maybe you got a tip ? Because i would like to use it for Live but i dont want to transport my Imac everywhere (everyweeks) ! And buying a macbook pro, you know the prices…
PS: strangely, the PLAY software doesnt work anymore now, probably because podium is x64, but thats something else..
Thank you very much to have read that (i know its Long , im sorry but as its not so popular i have to explain a bit) !

Whew, I gave up reading this. I feel this is too complicated without having the plugin to test with. If it doesn’t work in Podium x64, then what about Podium x86?
Yes its very complicated since you (or someone else) havnt the plugin. But strangely i finally reached to use the Wordbuilder in Zynewave Podium !
I finally used back the MidiYoke Midiport !
(those steps may help if im not the only one having this software)
On Windows 7 x64 version:
-First Copy your Symphonic choirs PLAY Plugin in your VST plugins (oftenly located on: C:Programs/Common Files/East West/VSTPlugins/play_VST_x64 )
-Then Open Wordbuilder as Standalone
-choose the type of voice (i took Altos); then in Midi IN, choose your keyboard to play with; then in Midi Out, choose the “Out To MIDI Yoke: 1”.
-click Ok
-let the Wordbuilder running and then open Podium 3 (make a new project -> reload or update your vst plugin folder -> then Ok)
-make a new Track (right clic -> “Add New Track”)
-go to the toolbar in the menu “Setup” -> “Preferences…” -> “MIDI/Audio Interfaces…“. In the MIDI input interfaces, tick “In From MIDI Yoke: 1” but untick the keyboard you want to play with because its already used by Wordbuilder ! Click Ok
-in the “Source” of the new track, search for the Play plugin (not this one: “Play #1” with the little arrow next its name)
-in the Play plugin, search for your EWQL Symphonic Choirs on your HardDrive, for me it was C:/EWQL Choirs/EWQL Choirs Instruments/Multis/Altos WB/…
-Then go back to your Wordbuilder window, type something, i typed “Hello” only to hear some sound coming from it.
Enjoy !! (you can record the choirs too now if you want in Podium !)
Done ! Wordbuilder works on Podium 3 !!!
Thanks for this awesome software !!!
PS:i found this idea simply alone, without any help. Only the Zynewave Admin reminds me some few things i had on different softwares which were hard to set.[/u]
