BaldByChoiceParticipantHi guys,
I’m a new Podium fan since last night! 😀 I downloaded the demo and got hooked from the first second. I LOVE the user interface! 🙂
I’m an “old” Cubase user so some things in Podium are very new to me.
In Cubase I usually put a couple of effects on the master track – like EQ, compressor/limiter etc. – can I do this in Podium too? I tried to drag an effect to the master track but I got a red exclamation point saying something about “no parent track mapping that produces audio”? What am I missing here?
I though to add an effect to a track I simply drag the effect to the track, or am I wrong?
Thanks again for an awsome DAW! 🙂June 11, 2007 at 10:21 #10103

Nice Tutorial! You can drag and drop you FX in a new group track. Don´t drag and drop the FX in the master track directly. Thats the genial Hierarchic engine! 8)

BaldByChoiceParticipantThanks!
Don’t worry ’bout your English I’m from Sweden. 😉 😀June 11, 2007 at 10:42 #10105
BaldByChoiceParticipantWow, this hierarchic engine shure will take some time getting used to… Very confusing at first. 😯
Is there a downloadable guide anywhere on this site or “just” the Wiki?
The video didn’t help me much since Podium have changed quite a bit since the video was made. The menues used in the video (Wrap In New Group Track + Add New Sub Track) aren’t even in the version of Podium I downloaded. 🙁June 11, 2007 at 10:56 #10106
ZynewaveKeymasterHi Henrik,
Yes, those videos are very old. There are more up-to-date videos made by Podianer in the wiki section:
http://www.zynewave.com/wiki/doku.php?id=tutorials:indexThe easiest way to set up master effects, is to enter the max number of effects you want in the “effects in master chain” field in the new arrangement dialog. This will give you a set of blank tracks in the master section where you afterwards can assign master effects.

TechnophobiaParticipantThere are guides on the front page of the WIKI (left hand side) in a few languages (no Swedish though). These are probably a bit out of date as well because of the rate at which Podium changes.
However, they should be good to get you going in the right direction for a while…Direct Link to the Guides

Welcome to the club… 🙂
