ConquistadorParticipantHi Frits,
I am having some strange problems with the Search in File folder command in Podium.
I recently moved a large number of files and thought it would be a simple task to let Podium find the files that now appear in red.
A simple selection of the files to be found and a right click to select the Search in File Folder option should have worked, but…somehow it found the files (I treble checked they were there) but the waveform was flatlined. π
The Duration field at the bottom of the Arrangement and Sounds area on the project start page shows 0.00. Effectively indicatiing the file is empty.
I tried exactly the same import process in Tracktion and it found the file with the correct length. Now going into the sound properties and re linking the file appears to work fine in Podium, but I have far too many files to re link in various projects to use that option. It will take ages doing that.
That is one of the reasons the search in file folder was created in the first place, to speed up the process of finding and relinking files.
I even started a new project and brought in a new wave file into the project. I then copied that file into the New arrangement folder that Podium created for the project once I clicked Save all changes.
I then made sure that Podium had the correct path to the New arrangement folder for the wave file. It was originally imported from my desktop.
I then moved the .pod file and the new arrangement file to a new partition. Started up Podium and the wave file had a red shade on it indicating the link with the file had been broken (OK) but…when I used the Search in File Folder option it found the file as usual but still produced a flatline or blank wave form.
Any thoughts?

ZynewaveKeymasterI followed your instructions, and I get the same thing. It’s a bug, and I’ll fix it for the next 1.83 release.
If you save the project after doing the sound file search, and then reopen the project, the sound files should be displayed ok.

darcyb62ParticipantHmmm… Good to know… I had the same thing happen when I fired things up on my MacBook. I thought it might have been somehow related to migrating files between my PC and my Mac, so I deleted the errant files and just re-imported.

Nice to see you and darcy have confirmed the same thing. I was really hoping it was not just my system as I had no idea what could be causing the problem and thought I may have to totally re – install Windows or something.

Cheers Frits, I will try that π
