Hi Frits – another feature you might consider adding one day, but by no means is it hugeluy important

When a new bounce track is wrapped around another track, a bounce sound clip is created. I think this sound should be as long as the events just on that track instead of the length of the whole track. Maybe even as long as where the punch in/out markers have been set?

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I personally rarely bounce whole single audio tracks, preferring to bounce smaller sections and not wanting huge sections of silence in bounced tracks.

Not a big problem, it’s easy enough to draw in custom sized events but it might be something that needs to be changed eventually to make Podium more logical? I like the idea of having the bounce sound clip as long as the events on the track below

Must confess, I normally do wrap in parent, then alter the parent to being a bounce track. That circumvents the creation of an audio event.

If there was a switch for ‘Create Audio event with Bounce Wrapper Track creation’ that I could switch off, but others could leave on if they wanted, then that would save me about three button clicks.

But it’s not that important to me, since I don’t measure my life in button clicks!

    🙂

You can save two button clicks. If you use the ‘wrap in new bounce track’, you can press undo afterwards, which will undo the event creation, but not the bounce track creation. A further undo command will undo the track creation.
