super_crunchyParticipantHi Frits, when you get back to read this
Can you add a recent projects list to the file menu, so under the File menu would be maybe 3 or 4 of the last projects opened which can be selected to load the projects? (Check out how Micro$oft W@rd does it to see what I mean)
Just handy if you want to open a recent project other than the last one you worked on which loads by default
Thanks

kingtubbyParticipant‘Recently opened projects’ already exists on the project wizard (ctrl+w), but I agree that it would be better under the file menu.

super_crunchyParticipantOne under the file menu would be great 😉

duncanparsonsParticipantFWIW, I quite like the one in the projects list, rather than cluttering up the menus.. BUT if a menu version is done, could it be done as a submenu, such as
File
----
Open
Save
Recent-> ILovePodium.pod
---- WhatAGreatPlatform.pod
Exit GiveFritsTheNobelPrizeForInnovation.pod
that way the menus don’t get so cluttered, and the submenu needs only get populated on demand, rather than everytime the file menu is clicked.

nice idea! the only reason i ask for it in the file menu is that i close the project wizard after i’ve set up a project. sure, CTRL +W can open it, but it seems right to have it under the File menu near the Save and Save as
Cheers

acousmodParticipantHi,
I thought that the “recent files” menu was already in the Future Developpment List.
So add my vote to it ! (together with the option to NOT load the last project at startup)July 15, 2005 at 08:29 #5058

If you save a file named ‘Default.pod’ in the ‘Zynewave Podium Projects’ folder, Podium should then always load that file at start-up, rather that the last project file you were working on.

acousmodParticipantYes, but I would prefer to choose it in a menu instead of having to put / remove a file in a folder…
