aksupertigerParticipantWhen I create music using VSTis I use the piano roll (duh.) When I listen to the song IN Podium all of the notes are played back. However, when I Bounce the song, the first few seconds of one or more tracks are cut out. What is going on here?

adimatisParticipantWell, you have to make absolutely sure that you place the Bounce Range from the beginning of the tracks. Actually, it is better to not make a selection at all, that will render the whole material.
Is this the case? Or is it something else? Is it the same behaviour if you tried to Bounce audio (non MIDI)? Give us some details.August 19, 2013 at 19:49 #24555
aksupertigerParticipantHow do I change the bounce range? Anyway, I don’t think that is what my problem is, it only happens on one or two tracks in a song, so the rest of the tracks start playing immediately but one will not. I have not tried bouncing any audio, so I’m not sure about that.

ZynewaveKeymasterIt’s possible that the hidden bounce sound event has been displaced. This can happen when doing certain segment edits, and it is an issue I intend to revise in a future update. To fix it, disable the bounce mode on the track, and then reenable bounce mode. This will recreate the bounce sound event. You can verify if the bounce event is placed properly by right-clicking the ‘Bounce’ effect track in the track inspector rack, and then disable the ‘Hide Track Lane’ option.

aksupertigerParticipantBounce effect track? I don’t understand…
August 19, 2013 at 22:02 #24559
ZynewaveKeymasterIf you open the mixer, or the rack panel in the track inspector, you’ll see a chain of ‘effect tracks’ for each source track. Each effect track can hold a single effect plugin. They are like normal tracks, but their track lane are by default hidden since there is no need to place events on the timeline for effects.
Does it fix the problem if you disable and reenable the bounce mode on the track that does not bounce at the beginning?
August 19, 2013 at 22:17 #24560
aksupertigerParticipantI’m not using effect plugins, these are virtual instruments. I tried disabling and reenabling bounce mode on ALL of the racks, it never works.

ZynewaveKeymasterIs it specific VST instruments that are problematic? Try replacing with a different VSTi on the track and see if this results in the same gap at the start.

aksupertigerParticipantI tried switching VSTis, nothing happens.

ZynewaveKeymasterIf you send me the project file through the contact form, I’ll see if I can locate the problem.

valcedParticipantWas there ever any progress with this? I’ve recently been experiencing the same on 3.2.4. I’m going to upgrade and report back.

ZynewaveKeymasterI don’t recall ever receiving the project file to test with, so no progress. If you can reproduce the problem, please email me a project file.

MLSParticipantTry to move all events/song by one or two bars and then bounce.
