Topic: FR: Assign effects to specific parts of a track/audiofile

    I got this idea:

    When you slice up an audiotrack, the slices automatically get numbers. So if you have four slices the slices are numbered 1 to 4.

    When you right click an effect on the track, you get the option “assign effect to slice (dropdownmenu with options “all”, “1”, “2”, “3”, “4”)”.

    The effect affects the whole file/track as default and when assigned to a specific slice, it only affects that slice.

    Does this make sense?

    Hi,

    I think effects for slices or parts are a good idea. If this feature gets implemented some day I would like to have a small button in the slice. Thats how this feature is implemented in many other DAWs or video-tools, e.g. Samplitude and Reaper (i think). IMO a context menu is difficult to handle.

    Nice ideas. The FR’s discussed here sound a bit like this…

    Funny thing is that Fritz never really reacted to the idea. I guess he doesn’t like it very much :mrgreen: .

    Hehe maybe he did not rate it too highly yes …:P

    Seriously though I think with so many FR’s he has to prioritize and this FR may still arrive at some point in future…just not yet. Frits no doubt also has to consider how best to implement features so perhaps its not easy to code. Also clearly other areas needed work (UI for instance) so he has been very busy there.

    In any case I think its a very good FR but it may be a bit more time before it surfaces in Podium. Either way I think its always worth at least posting an FR. 😉
