PodianerParticipantHi Frits,
I have one thing that’s really annoying me, cause I can’t get it sorted out. I have one folder on my audio harddrive, that is the VST Folder for my whole system. So it is quite full of plugins. When scanning this folder, Podium crashes and disappears. There is no error message, but I think there is one plugin that is incompatible with Podium. In Tracktion there is a list for plugins, that failed to load for one time, and thus aren’t loaded any more.. This would be a big help in Podium! I really don’t know which Plugin is bad, otherwise I would create a different folder and use that for Podium..
Is that difficult to implement? ❓
Thanks,

MaxParticipantHi Max.
Sorry, but why do you import ALL of the plugins on startup? For example, I use “import plugin” and “import plugin definition” buttons in Podium wizard to load plugs that I need in the project one by one. It’s one of the best things in Podium that you don’t need to load all plugins on startup IMO.
BTW, for me Tracktion’s incompatible plugins list is a little buggy. I remember that once it marked my EMU FX as incompatible… 🙄

darcyb62ParticipantI had that happening with Betabugs Spinbug. I can load it manually however without problem.

Hi Max, 🙂
Frits recently implemented the “scan and import only new plugins” feature. This is a “one-button” solution and works great most of the time, as I am always looking for new plugins in the web. Quite easier than importing by hand.

That is exactly what I found out! I installed the Betabugs Pack 1. Now after having deleted it from my Podium-Plugin-Folder, the scan works great again. Weird..

No, but it will take some time, with little benefit to most users. Since you have found the the problematic plugin, I prefer to continue work on some of the major features, which yields more bang per manhour I put into it.

PodianerParticipant🙂 Ok! Glad I found the Plugin.. The major features are a good choice! Perhaps I should stop throwing in my minor probs.. 😳 and let you do your job.. 😛 Because I want to see Podium grow, too! Just like the other happy users here!
Thanks anyway!

MaxParticipantIt takes time to code new features, but not to put them on the list 😉
Personally I like your idea, but it can wait.
