    would be a killer feature ( at least in my book ) – just to give you a firm idea of what i’m looking for :
    navigating the grid with cursor keys and inserting / deleting notes with keyboard shortcuts ( switchable behavior intertgrated into the existing editors ( drum and pinao roll )
    this seems to be a rather uncommon feature in DAW land ?!?

    That is already supported. What is it specifically that you are missing?

    was aware of navigation ( a rather crucial one to me ) but was not aware of inserting – RTFM you might say

    update :
    navigation does not work the way i was talking about :
    i’d like to be able to navigate to each cell in an even empty grid with the cursor keys and insert / delete notes there
    as of now i have to insert a note and move this note to my liking

    hope you can follow?!?

    Yes I follow. What you are missing is a note key focus. Not supported I’m afraid. You’ll have to use the Insert key and then the Ctrl+Up/Down or Shift+Up/Down keys to transpose the note.
