    Hi,

It is one thing that I have accepted from Podium since the begining, but that makes me irritate all the days…

You know that there is two possible behaviours when we press the stop button in audio softwares : either the play position remains where it was when we stopped (it acts like a pause) or it jumps back to the previous start point, ready to replay.
The need of the one or the other really depends of what we are doing and personal habits.
For editing, it is in general for me better to have the play position return to the last start point instead of a pause.

Most softwares can set it as a global option (Steinberg…) or allow to use different keys for the two solutions. For example in Vegas the space bar makes the play position return (by default) and the Enter key pauses.

The two keys solution is perhaps the better since we could choose what to do when we want : pause (current) or stop/return.

Do you think that you could add such a thing ?

Currently numpad0 will return to start of song when pressed twice. This could be changed so that it returns to last start position, and then a third press of numpad0 will return to start of song. Opinions?

It would be good for me.
And when there will be a custom keys setting, we could exchange the space bar and the numpad (also for laptops).
Or perhaps also an option in the Preferences ?

I agree with Acousmod on the need for the adjustment here.

It is a very useful function. ACID pro works the same way as Vegas. I use both so I also know how useful it can be.

At least the functionality already exists in Podium 8) but I really think a global option is better. I am far more likely to look there first (set it and forget it), than use a documented key combination in real world everyday usage. 8)

Perhaps the existing implementation can remain while a global option is simply added to provide quicker access (for me anyway) to configure the play cursor behaviour.
