Usually I record audio stuff whith activated effects. Consider a track with a loaded guitar amp. Assigning an input channel will start monitoring the guitar amp. sometimes I need to switch between direct (hardware) monitoring and the podium monitoring due to the latency and my fast fingers 8) . Unfortunatly this doesn’t seem to be possible since one can’t disable the input monitoring in podium. pressing “X” will disable the input which is not possible (I want to records this signal!). You only can turn down the the tracks gain.
I think disabling an assigned input is a not very useful feature. If the input is not need it could be removed from the track. If a consequent noise from the input is present (usually the real guitarist in the studio never stops playing) disabling the monitoring would be sufficent.
I apologize if there is a possibility to do this (in a nice way) else I’d like to request this as a feature 🙂
