So far my favorite Drum Synth is Drumcore FREE. Google it, it’s currently 1.1GB and it’s FREE! It’s like the freeware version of Addictive Drums to me. =D I love it and use it for all my percussion now.

FA3Amp is really good for guitar sounds

Try SonEQ. Don’t think “oh, another eq, that isn’t nothing can surprise me…” I also was skeptical until I thought it’s just a dll, I haven’t to install nothing… and I tried it. It’s highly musical:
