wanyzeParticipant..I can’t make it work and don’t get any sound out of PSO it in Podium.
What’s very confusing is it shows up as an instrument in the map view, but 24 times:
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 1+2
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 3+4
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 5+6
… and so on until …
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 15+16
…
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) (01)
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) (02)
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) (03)
… and so on until …
Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) (16)Again, i’m lost… Any clues?

spritexParticipantThere is a video tutorial about using multi-out VSTi’s, does it help?

Just try adding “Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 1+2” like you normally add a VSTi, does it work?

wanyzeParticipantspritex, “Garritan Personal Orchestra (#1) Out 1+2” works. Sorry for wasting everyones time, I should have tried them all out first before posting the message. Thanks for your help, spritex!

There is a technical problem with my provider and my internet speed is shaped down to 64Kbs. It’s quite slow to watching these tutorials so i haven’t seen them all yet, just the beginning. But I will have a look at them all once i’m back on broadband. From what I’ve seen so far, they seem to be pretty good to explain basic things for newbies like me πFebruary 14, 2007 at 19:21 #8999
haikuParticipantI think it’s good he poasted this. It confused me at first too – maybe theres a more friendly way of doing it?
When you’re new to the program you see it with fresh eyes.

I definatly do not see with fresh eyes, i used Cubase on Atari and later on PC from early 90s until 98, since then i’m looking desperatly for any easy to understand sequencer. Naturally, if i like it or not, i compare avery new software to cubase i used back then, it’s an instinct and not easy to switch off. But times have changed and things got more complicated. Today we’re working with audio tracks, no more midi hardware synths (me for once), virtual instruments, freezing tracks, sends/returns/routing, and more, its alot to take in and to bring all these features under a hood. Cubase SX got way too complicated for me, too big, too slow, too (you-name-it). I always try to keep open minded, but it’s not easy and you detect yourself falling into old pattern, which are not necessary always good.
