I remember a while back Computer Music magazine featured version 1.77. After installing it, I noticed the sound would go up to very high levels on its own…after unsuccessfully figuring out how to correct it, I uninstalled it.

Today I download the newer demo and so far am having the exact same problem and on both of my computers (one is a dedicated studio system) and the other is the one I’m at now on the internet.

I have read good reviews about Podium and cannot figure out why it’s not working on any of my systems ???

From time to time the demo lowers the level on the master track (around a second). Is that your problem?
Does the sound stay at this high level? Does it distort somehow?

Yes, it keeps going up to very high levels and have to press the button to turn off. Then it starts doing it again …was also doing it on non-demo version that came with CM mag.

Are you referring to the power button at the left edge of the transport toolbar?

Does any of the Podium meters show the rising output?

It sounds to me like it’s a feedback problem. Maybe you have an audio input with a microphone activated on one of the tracks? If so, try pressing the X button to bypass it.

Yes, the meters show rising volume…nothing else is connected…no mikes etc. When I record from midi keyboard (using vst instruments) the master fader is moving by itself and rising to loud levels on its own. I’m checking for automation and nothing seems to be set.

The demo version will once every minute move the master fader slowly down and then back up to the original position (over a 2 second period). Could this be what you observe?

Otherwise, please email me your project file so I can see if there is anything in the track setup that causes this.
