SampleScienceParticipantHello,
It have been suggested that I post about the problem here instead that on KVR. So here it is! 🙂
When using Wusikstation v6 in Podium Free everything in the VSTi works strangely. The presets don’t load properly, the VST sometime remain silent when loading many different presets… The host finally crash after a couple of minutes. Some of the control don’t work.
Here’s the specs:
Acer Aspire E571
Windows Vista Home Premium (SP 2)
Intel Pentium D CPU 3.20GHz
RAM: 1G
32-bit OS
audio drivers: ASIO4ALL
audio device: Realtek High Definition AudioFL Studio v4 + Wusikstation v6 = work like a charm, rock solid
Podium Free + Wusikstation v6 = Wusik is suddenly buggy, controls don’t respond, presets don’t always work, Podium crashASIO4ALL is set at the maximum latency to keep audio artefacts at a minimum (no audio artefacts in FL Studio v4).
thanks

ZynewaveKeymasterI’m guessing the crashes you see are due to low memory. I can see you have 1 GB RAM.
Try opening the Windows Task Manager and check the memory used when you run Podium Free vs FL 4.
From the little I know about Wusikstation, I believe that it is loading all its samples into memory, and don’t use disk streaming. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Could it be that the presets that causes the crashes, uses large samples?

German FafianParticipantAs I posted in KVR.
I have no problems whatsoever with Wusik and Podium.
I could very well be a RAM and graphic card related issue but I’m not totally sure.July 22, 2010 at 18:54 #18944

Wusikstation has a disk streaming option which can be set to kick in when the loaded samples size goes above a user definable amount.
No doubt FL9 would make more demands on RAM and graphics card processing though, compared to FL4.
Mart.

Then it must be that. A older version of Mu-Lab Free I use doesn’t have that problem & it’s very stripped down & basic compared to Podium or a newer version of FL Studio. I’ll use the hd streaming option then.
thanks for the help!
