When setting up a child track it will automatically take on the colour of the parent track which is very handy indeed.
However there are many times when I want to keep the colour of a track (that has no parent or child track, (like an instrument mapped to a new track with blue selected for the colour) but have the colour of that track applied to the group track and any other group tracks that may follow….automatically. 8)
In a sentence… a feature that is identical to the auto colour matching of child tracks to parent tracks but in reverse.
When any group track is created using this suggestion….it will automatically use the colour of the original or first created track.
So if
1. I create a new track…
2. Change the colour to blue…
3. Then create a group track for the new track…
4. With the above suggestion the group track will automatically use the colour of the new track (blue) that was created first.
At the moment group tracks will not automatically use the colour of the previous track they are created for. 😉
