Ok, say I import a MIDI file that has 3 piano parts. When I look in the mixer section along the bottom, I decide I want to “wrap them in a new group track”, so that the 3 piano tracks will be nested in a group track named Keyboards. After highlighting the one piano track and selecting “wrap in new group track”, I now have a Master track with the one sub piano track. But, the other 2 tracks are still outside of that Master Track; how do I get those other 2 tracks into that group? How about being able to select multiple tracks at one time, and then being able to right click and select “wrap in new group track”, so that all of the tracks will be transferred into the master group in one task?

I’ve been thinking about implementing selection of multiple tracks, but it will take a bit of work to do this, so it will have to wait a while.

To organize tracks into groups, you use the ‘Increase/decrease group level’ menus in the track context popup menu, or use the Ctrl+’Plus’ or Ctrl+’Minus’ keyboard shortcuts. If you want to shift the group level of an entire track sub tree, you just collapse the group before using the increase/decrease commands on the top track in the group.
