I’m planning on doing it this summer…. but haven’t bought the audio interface yet….. will I run into any problems having 10+ channels all running in and out at once?

any other problems I might encounter?

Can’t say I’ve had 20 channels simultaneously so far, but no hitches with around 12. I think Podium is going to handle it just fine, unless you set latency to 32 samples and put lots of plug-ins on each track. 😉
Keep in mind that the free version does all audio processing on one processor core, though.

However, since you say “live” (as in monitoring live shows?) – if the music or performance doesn’t depend on VST plug-ins, I think I’d prefer to use a small hardware mixer instead in this case…

    Well, we’d be running 12 channels….
at most there’d be an EQ on each track, except for 3 vocal tracks which’d need compressors, reverb, and autotune on a few

I’d definitely get the full version in order to use all processors…

We’ll be running with at least an i5 processor

As long as it can handle the workload… Podium would be ideal, because we can customize individual monitor settings to each song.
