swindusParticipantJust want to introduce myself a bit. Stumbled upon a post in a forum about podium. First I thought “Ok, just another sequencer …” but after buying a Beat magazine (I’m from germany) and fiddling around with Podium I fell in love with it. I bought a licence already.
The object orientated design is really a great concept for a sequencer and as a software developer I like it all the more. I was using Cubase for a long time and switched to Tracktion 2 + energyXT two years ago. But I think I found now exactly what I need.
At the moment I’m creating some device definitions for my hardware devices. Will add them to the Wiki when they are ready to use. A lot of to type but once finished a great time saver and a perfect integration of the hardware into the sequencer.
Ok, enough words for now, need to finish my device definitions. 😀
A little freebee from me:
If you need a solution to play some notes with your computer keyboard (on a laptop for example) without a midi controller keyboard, you can use my software TracktionKeys for this purpose.

swindusParticipantThanks Frits.
Just one question: Do I need to uninstall the old version or can I install over the old version?

Installing a newer version should automatically uninstall the old version.

Hi and welcome on board!! 🙂
I’m from Germany, too. I hope we’ll see some more german users here in the future.January 4, 2007 at 12:33 #8542
ConquistadorParticipantWelcome! 🙂
Installing a newer version should automatically uninstall the old version.
I must say this has worked 100% every time for me. I really doubt you will have any problems with this. 😉
