hitman8081 here. i just aquired podium thru a license transfer. ill be honest that even while waiting for the license transfer to go thru, i was biting my nails, fearing that podium would get bought out by a bigboy name before i could aquire the transfer. stupid i know.
or is it realy that stupid? i realy dont think so. ive heard countless people compare podium to cubase/logic. and im sure those comparisons couldnt be made if they didnt exist.
podiums no amature software thats for sure. its sound quality is the best ive ever heard from even hosts like sonar. i see podium making it big time in the future and as like somebody said on kvr “a big threat to major hosts like cubase/logic. im looking forward to using podium as my main host and deleted my other hosts fl studio and orion.
podium also from what ive seen has stability like a rock. i even noticed that it has inbuilt safety mechanisms to prevent system overload. also its extremely acurite in monitoring levels and clipping. i admit that podium is a little daunting but at least i can get it enough to learn it and hope to also help improve it.
i cant say the same about cubase sx,logic, and sonar. anyway i forward to using podium as my daw. and i can actualy call it a daw and not a softstudio, cause it works like one. im hoping to use podium to produce futurepop/darkelectro with the vanaguard for all synth needs, and microtonic for all beats. (with the albino on the way in a few weeks) i use a p4 2.8 gig pc, 80 gig hd, bx5 monitors, and a radum 61 for a midi controler. wells thats my introduction. see ya in the forums 🙂
