    Hello,

I just watched the video tutorial that setup Halion 3 as a multi-out, and I was wondering how it handles multi-instances?

Do you simply drag another one from the map onto another track? Or in the “list” do you create another instance/pointer of the same plug – so you have two, then drag each separate instance onto a separate track?

Also (sorry to inundate with questions) – while watching the “Multi FX” video, the author mentioned “one vst FX per track” and then copied them horizontally to the left. I guess the problem is in terminology – is the “track” NOT the whole horizontal strip? Is it JUST the audio or MIDI data? Thus meaning that the areas to the left are…something else entirely treated as “another” track, yet on the same lane?

Am I making sense with this last one?

    Thank you,

    – A

That’s what you do in the case of insert mappings. With global plugins (i.e. plugins that have multiple mappings for a single instance), you need to create a set of mappings for each instance you want to use. Right-click the folder or any of the mappings for the plugin in the project start page device list, and select “New Instance”.

A Podium “track” has a dual purpose. It can function as a standard track with a track “lane”, but also works as a modular connection of the MIDI/audio flow. Inserting tracks without a track lane is mostly used to set up a chain of bus sends/plugins.
